An honor was given to our dear veterans on the eve of the Great Victory Day for a peaceful sky overhead.

   Nowadays, 4 veterans of the Second World War, who worked at the Scientific Center of Pediatrics and Children's Surgery, live in Almaty. On the eve of the holiday, the trade union employees of the Center congratulated elders who passed the war with their blood and sweat. Their contribution to bring a peaceful is priceless. After the war, our colleagues devoted themselves to medicine and treating little patients.

This year, Gaina Kapashevna Ablanova will complete her 100 years old. After Second World War she worked as a nurse in the Admissions Department for forty years. Lapyko Vladimir Nikolaevich worked in the scientific department of the institute, contributed to the development of domestic science. Damir Kuzemovich Yesembaev has worked as a doctor in the functional diagnostics department of the center for more than forty years. A rear veteran Mashkeev Auken Kiyasovich made a great contribution to the establishment of the Scientific Center of Pediatrics and Children's Surgery. He devoted 50 years of his life to the organization and development of Russian scientific pediatrics. The professor prepared 17 candidates, 7 doctors of medical sciences. Auken Kiyasovich is the author of over 300 scientific articles, teaching aids for doctors and five scientific monographs. Gastroenterologist, doctor of medical sciences, professor, after completing his postgraduate studies, from 1964 to 2019 he worked at the Center for Pediatrics. Chief Scientist of the Department of Gastroenterology, in 1985-1992 he was Institute director. For 20 years, Auken Kiyasovich worked as the Chief Specialist in Baby Nutrition of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He was one of the first researchers oа baby food. As a scientist he worked for many years as the chief editor of the scientific journal " Pediatrics and Children's Surgery ". A.K. Mashkeev was awarded the State Prize Laureate orders "Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan", " Veteran of rear", "Badge of Honor", etc.

On the eve of the holiday, veterans of the Afghan war didn’t left unnoticed. An employee of the administrative and economic department, a veteran of the Afghan war, Turgenbaev Chokan Nurmaganbetovich was also honored, all the veterans who presented with a gifts.
